Wilh. Schäfer GmbH serves as a strategic partner to record pressing plants across five continents. With over five decades of experience, we manufacture specialized vinyl record molds, matrix clamping rings, center bush assemblies, and technical accessories to the highest standards. Our production combines traditional "Made in Germany" quality with state-of-the-art manufacturing processes to meet the extreme acoustic demands of the global music industry.

Our Range of Products

Press Mold:

Our proprietary molds are universally compatible and can be used in Bookmolds as well as Toolex Alpha and Pheenix presses. We manufacture these molds from high-grade stainless steel in 7", 10", and 12" sizes, optimized for 140g and 180g records.

Centering:

The centering precisely aligns the stamper and the label in the middle of the mold. During the pressing process, it forms the perfectly centered spindle hole of the record. Our center pins are known for their long service life and consistent quality.

Transport Arm:

Once the pressing cycle is complete and the mold opens, the arm grips the warm but stabilized record. It carefully lifts it from the mold and transports it to the next station—typically the trimming unit, where the flash (excess material) is removed.

Bookmold:

Our Bookmold frames are compatible with 7", 10", and 12" molds and can be exchanged quickly and easily. They are ideal for manual presses, small batches, and high production variety.
